About Cakeland.

Amy Cabrero was born in a family of artists. Since the 1960’s, her grandmother began baking anddecorating holiday cakes for family and fun. During this time she developed the perfect Syrup Moist PoundCake and passed it to Amy’s Mother Cook Book which eventually took upon the tradition of baking anddecorating cakes as well. Art definitely ran in the family. Throughout her childhood, she used to help hergrandmother in Fun hobbies like Ceramics, Stained Glass Lamps, Decoupage, Sewing, Sugar Flowers,Landscape Watercolors and Jewelry. After being raised in such artsy world, Amy went ahead and got aBachelors of Art in Communications from the University of Sacred Heart, Santurce, P.R. and developed someabilities in Illustration, SilkScreening, and Graphic Design. CakeLand Designs was created in 2005 and has been her way to show her passion for art ever since.

All our cakes are baked with freshest ingredients. The traditional Wedding Cake in the Caribbean is a rich pound cake moistened with regular light syrup. For a more unique latin twist, this syrup can be altered with Brandy or Amaretto.


Prices are based on the size of the cake and the predetermined number of servings for each size. Once a final decision has been made on your cake, you will be given a confirmed price.
After the Save the Date Deposit is given, a set of sketches will be prepared based on the references given and budget. Will be sent via email in a time frame of 1-2 weeks. This way you can choose the design that best fits your needs.

Sugar Flowers

SugarFlowers are a great way to represent your favorite flower that isn’t on season or is difficult to get.
They are made from a sugar based dough also called gum paste. They have a fragile process which can take a week or 2 of elaboration depending on the complexity of the flower. They are airbrushed and hand paintedfor a very natural look.

This process distinguishes our flowers versus the wholesale that are in the market.

To secure the event date Cakeland Designs will decline other work. The date of the event is considered “booked” upon receipt of a non-refundable retainer equal to 50% of the total value of the cake, including any delivery charges, any equipment deposit, and the completed signed contract.
Final Payment of the balance due 2 weeks prior the event date.
